EU-Compliant biostimulants for a new generation of cultivation

At Bertels B.V., we believe that true innovation in horticulture starts with understanding the plant. That’s why we are investing in the development of advanced biostimulants—natural solutions that enhance plant performance without relying on synthetic hormones or plant growth regulators (PGRs).

Our goal is to deliver added value to the plant. We are continuously exploring new ways to trigger beneficial plant responses using stimulating components that are fully compliant with the EU Fertilising Products Regulation (FPR) and fall under Product Function Category 6 (PFC 6).

This approach allows us to support plant growth, resilience, and productivity in a sustainable and regulation-compliant manner.

All plant-related trials and documentation are closely monitored by the notified body “EFCI Register”, ensuring scientific integrity and regulatory compliance. This has already resulted in two certified biostimulant products that are now available on the market:

Both products carry official EU certification, confirming their safety, efficacy, and compliance with European standards and are allowed to carry the CE-mark.
